Kahla and Jay, in their own words | Perth Candid Weddings
Today begins something a little new. I’m regularly creating blog entries and as all weddings are beautiful, I tend to end up using the same text in a lot of them. I don’t know that many superlatives ! So, how about letting the couple choose their favourite photos and write something about their day instead – a bride and groom’s perspective? That’s just what today’s blog post will be. Kahla and Jay got married a few months ago so here is a short summary of their day in pictures and words – their words.
“What can I say about the day. Well I thought I would be nervous but the nerves never really hit me.. so much so I went and did a quick food shop in the morning. I was so happy to have my brothers walking me down the aisle. A girl couldn’t ask for two men that love, accept and pick on her more no matter the situation. Seeing Jay for the first time was fantastic! I was so happy to finally be at his side. There is no way to describe the feelings of walking down the aisle to the man you’re marrying being watched and supported by the nearests and dearests of your lives – hugely overwhelming and intimidating yet also incredibly exciting and a moment I will cherish.
Going off on our photo shoot was blissfull, with my husband and our two best friends I couldn’t ask for a better way to let the ceremony to sink in but spending it with these guys, a few quiet drinks, a rockin Kombi and what turned out to be a perfect sunset for the photos which, in the hands of Perth’s best wedding photographer, was a recipe for success. The rest of the night was an absolute hoot, just as we planned, limited formalities, great friends, food and drinks filled with shenaningans and mischief. Just as we hope the rest of our time together will be spent.
These are my fave two of Jay and me. They are fabulous, what more could we ask for…? The second one successfully makes me look elegant, not often that happens :)
Jay’s favourite photos are these. We are not the couple who generally are intimate around others or share a special moment with others and the second photo has got it!
I also loved the addition of the photo booth. It was so much fun and gave us great memories of our night. I love this one especially :
This crazy photo purely and simply catches us as the couple we are and our poor best mates that put up with us no matter what. I love it !
There were so many amazing photos from the day that I’m finding it hard to make a shortlist. Here are some more that I just love:
Awesome Kombi from the guys at KusteKombis
What a great way to share these images. I love it that the bride and groom themselves have selected “their” favourites and shared their personal thoughts about their day… The photos are stunning!
So many wonderful moments in this post, but that sunset photo just blows me away. Amazing work!
This is great! The fifth one from the bottom is full of epicness!
LOVE LOVE LOVE that blue sky! Ahh so dreamy!!
Stunning shots throughout! Incredible energy in them all.
I love how much love and fun is packed in each photo! So fun to see which images the couple picked as their favorites.
These look like so much fun! Fantastic images too.
Gorgeous work James! The Mr & Mrs. is hilarious!
Man! Fantastic image of them in the VDub! Nice work!
