Jess and Dave – In their own words
Here we go with another blog entry created by the bride and groom themselves. Jess and Dave had an excellent wedding at the beautiful Blue Water Grill in Heathcote. Here are their words and selections :
“When I look back on our wedding day I can’t believe how amazingly relaxed and beautiful it was. Saying it was relaxed is putting it mildly, I lingered through breakfast with Dad (funnily enough, the waitress wouldn’t give me a free breakfast just because I was getting married!), and I wasn’t really concerned with time at all heading to the hairdresser. Thank goodness for the mother of the bride! I can’t express in words how wonderful it was to walk down the aisle and see the man I love standing there waiting for me, and our closest friends and family being there to share our day with us. Having planned the wedding for over 18 months beforehand, and via correspondence (Derby doesn’t really cater for weddings), we were so happy that we could finally enjoy the day.
Our photo shoot after the ceremony at the Raffles was only (momentarily) marred by me losing one of my wedding bands in the car, and then the boys trying to find it. Luckily enough (with the aid of a bent fork), my brother retrieved the ring and all was forgotten! We loved the photo booth at the reception, and the props that we used provided many laughs.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day, or a better photographer. James, you are wonderful, thank you for capturing our day!

What a great idea having the couple choose which photos to blog! I can see why they chose them – they are fantastic!
The out take where he is in the trunk of the car is hilarious! I love your use of the light too. Beautiful!

That was a heck of a magnum of champagne, and a heck of a wedding. Great job.
Beautiful wedding and work James! Love the wide angle ceremony shot, so rad!
Great set! I’m sure the couple loves these. I especially like the portraits.
